Dungeons & Dragons Mythos

This is an in depth essay on the monsters from Dungeons and Dragons listed in the 5th edition Monster manual. It focuses on were the creatures were inspired by in myths and legends from across the world. Certain creatures are not based off of any myths. In that case There will not be any pages on those monsters, or the miscellaneous creatures in the back section of the MM. I will be mainly using the forgotten realms as source. And all artwork is either done by Wizards of the coast, or other amazing artists that have the names and or signatures on or next to the art. Any and all letters that are not included on the site map do not have any monsters that originated in mythology that start with that letter.
