Cambion
Cambion
Entirely based on a myth
Cambion from the 5e Monster Manual
The myth of the cambion is almost exactly the same as its rendition in Dungeons and Dragons. The word cambion is the celtic root for "crooked", and was used to describe a creature that is half human, half demon. This term originated in the 13th century in the book "De universo" By William of Auvergne. There are no examples of cambion art in mythology. They are described as deep red skinned humans with short horns, pointed ears, a sharp tail and taloned bat wings
