Crawling claw

The Crawling Claw could be based on many different references, but the two most obvious are of course, 'The Crawling Hand', and 'The Addams family'. The Crawling hand was a science fiction horror movie directed in 1963, it had a severed hand that shambled around murdering people similar to how it's described in D&D. The second reference could have been the Adams family, coincidentally made in the same year as the crawling hand. It has a character named "Thing", a teleporting disembodied hand that does minor chores and tasks for the family, similarly to how the crawling claws would do chores for necromancers in-game.
