Dryad
Dryad
Mostly based on a myth
The word dryad comes from the greek word Draiaed which means sing and Drys, which means oak. In greek culture they are described to be reclusive and shy humanoids with yellow and green skin and clumps of bark and leaves on there feet, fore arms, and torso, there faces have elven features. except around the god Artemis, who befriended the dryads. In greek mythology Dryads are put under different categories depending on what kind of tree it was linked to, but the ones in D&D are based off of the Hamadryad. Mainly because any damage the tree suffers, the dryad also suffers.
