Doppelganger

Loosely based on a myth

The word Doppelgänger comes from the German language and means "double goer". The myth gained popularity from the book 'Night Side of Nature', written in 1848 by Catherine Crowe. But the very first news regarding this kind of monster was in 1612. Izaak Walton claimed that English metaphysical poet John Donne saw his wife's doppelgänger in Paris, on the same night as the still-birth of their daughter. There modern depiction is described as leathery navy skinned aliens with a slight humanoid appearance. They are very skinny with no mouth, pointed ears and pure grey eyes. they do not have any genders either.
