Zombies

Zombies are one of the most well known monsters in folklore and pop culture. They originated in Haitian folklore, where they are thought to be corpses risen between life and death through the dark powers in Vodou magic. The word Zombie is derived from the Haitian-French word "Zombi" which can translate to "Relic" most likely referring to how aged the corpse is when it becomes a zombie. In d&d, zombies are corpses risen from the dead by negative energy or necromancy, they are mindless husks of their former selves, shambling directly towards a source of flesh and obeying their creators simple orders.
