Nagas
Loosely based on mythology
Nagas originated in Hinduism around the 9th century. The word Naga translates to "Serpent" in Sanskrit. They were described as being half human and half cobra, they could also shape-shift between those pure forms. They were said to be born from the creator god Brahma, who sent them to kill truly evil humans when settlements became to overpopulated.
Guardian Nagas are the most powerful, magical, and good-aligned of there species. They have the appearance of a snake with emerald scales, tan under-scales and a humanoid face.
Spirit Nagas are the evil rivals of the Guardian Nagas, although they are less powerful. They have the appearance of a snake with silvery dark grey and red scales, tan under-scales, and a humanoid face
Bone Nagas are the resurrected remains of dead Nagas. This makes them much weaker and unable to return to life after they die. They have the appearance of a snake skeleton with a humanoid skull and a permanently frilled neck.
