Medusa

Loosely based on myth

The word Medusa stems from Greek mythology and translates to "Protectress". In Greek mythology, there were three gorgon sisters, all with snake heads for hair and the ability to turn those who stair into their eyes into stone. One of the sisters was named Medusa, and was the only gorgon that was mortal. In d&d, Medusas are people that make pacts with evil gods to keep their beauty forever. They grow snakes for hair, their skin turns a scaly grey, and their eyes turn a silvery blue, then turn those who stair at them into stone.
