Griffon

Loosely based of off myth

The word griffon is greek for "curved beak". The myth was originally created by the greeks and romans during the bronze age. They were described as mighty beasts with the front of an eagle and the back of a lion, the two kings of their kind. Griffons were later used as metaphors for Jesus in christian beliefs, seeing that he was divine and mortal, two sides of the same coin to create a perfect king. In Dungeons and dragons, they made them more animalistic and natural than divine, examples being their prides and nests resembling natural traits of both animals.
