Satyr

Mostly based on mythology

Satyrs come from greek mythology and presumably originated in approximately 400 B.C.E. They are described as humanoids with goat like characteristics such as cloven legs, horns, and extra body hair, their faces are considered cartoonish and ugly in some depictions. Satyrs are generally self-indulging and always wanting to dance, sing, and play musical instruments. The word Satyr can translate into many things, but the most common are "wild animal", "brutish", "lustful", and "the full ones". In d&d Satyrs are not considered ugly, but instead charming and charismatic. They can create magical effects out of their musical instruments (of which they are resistant). They also carry all manner of beautiful weapons and armor.
