Harpy

Loosely based on myth

Harpies come from greek and roman mythology and are described generally as ugly half maiden, half vulture creatures that would steal people away and take food from their victims. The word harpy means "swift robber" or "snatcher" in the greek's and roman's old dialects. Myths show harpies as the hounds of zeus, but some others say that they were the servants of the erinyes deities, bringing them new servants.
